Talk about an Aha moment! If you are an Oprah fan you will understand that comment and funny enough, it was through Oprah’s website that I first learned about Brene Brown and her book Daring Greatly. The core principle of the book is to teach us that “Vulnerability is the core, the heart, the center, of meaningful human experiences.”
If you are on the fence about reading it, check out Brene Browns Ted Talk on the power of vulnerability here.
My battle is perfectionism - always wanting things to be just so. I find myself worrying if they are not. I felt a shift in the way that I approached my personal and professional life after reading this book; I was was more open and accepting with myself and with others.
It was reading this book that gave me the push to start AddoAesthetics; a company I had been conceptualizing for years.
If you have not read the book I highly recommend you do and I hope that it brings you as much joy as it has given me.
Have you read the book? How have you Dared Greatly in your life?
