New Year, New You (Plus a Productivity Tool to Help You Meet Your Goals)

New Year New You.png

We all know there’s nothing extraordinary about January 1 and that we can make changes and work toward a goal any time. But I have to admit; there is something special about the start of a new year.

It’s the renewed vision and drive, the newfound excitement after taking some time to rest and spend with those you love, and a time and space where you can start something and have clear deadlines moving forward.

In today’s dose of inspiration, education, and encouragement, I want to give you a little pep talk that will get you thinking about your goals as we jump into the first Monday of 2017. And as a bonus, I've also got a tool I created just for you so that you can launch your goal-getting productivity to new heights.

Alright, are you ready to take action?

Download my Productivity Planner and let’s get to work because dreams don’t work unless you do! I suggest blocking off uninterrupted time in your schedule to sit down in a quiet spot, printing off your Productivity Planner, and breaking out your favorite pen. Then, let’s make big things happen in 2017.

Also, take a look at these posts to help you set and meet your goals:

If you’re up for sharing, let me know about your goals or productivity breakthroughs in the comments or the Aestheticians Connect Facebook group.

I can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish in 2017!

Cheers to a brand new year, and until next time, keep making the world a more beautiful place inside and out!

Having a Hard Time Working On Your Business Because You're Working In Your Business? Read This.

One of the hardest things about being in things about being in this industry is finding the balance between working on your business while you're working in your business.  As aestheticians, we have to think like entrepreneurs regardless of our position.  If you're an employee at a day spa or medspa, a solo aesthetician, or an independent contractor.  You still need to focus on gaining and retaining clients.

So what do I mean when I say think like an entrepreneur?

I mean that you have to be taking action to make yourself stand out from the crowd.  That may mean attending networking events, maintaining a blog, having an active social media presence that is professional, taking continuing education courses, and even attending professional development workshops.

So that brings us back to the original question - how do you make time for all of those additional tasks when you still have to see your clients?  (And let's not forget about having time for our family, friends, and hobbies outside of work too!)

Check out the video below to learn about some of the strategies I've used to be more productive throughout the day, allowing me to work on my business but still have plenty of time to connect with my clients.

Have some productivity tips of your own?  I'd love to know how you work on your business when working in your business.  Let me know in the comments section below.
