Sciton's Nano Laser Peel

In the past decade I have worked as a solo aesthetician, in a resort spa, in a day spa, and for most of my career in medical aesthetics.  I will always remember working my first day in a dermatology office and knowing that I had found my place.

I love the science behind the products and treatments and I love seeing the real changes that we are able to make in our patients skin that ultimately leads to positive changes in their confidence and self worth.

In the Aestheticians Connect Facebook group I see a lot of interest from aestheticians wanting to get into medical aesthetics which is why I enjoy doing "behind the scenes" posts like this for you to see what it is really like to work in a clinical setting.

In this video, Amanda from the Sanctuary Cosmetic Center is performing a Sciton Nano Laser Peel on me.

**This video is in no way meant to be a training on how to do a Nano Laser Peel by Sciton**

The Nano Laser Peel is a resurfacing treatment meant to address fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation.  Typical down time is based on how many microns are done and standard for a 10 micron peel as seen in the video is 2-3 days.  I was an outlier and took almost a full week before my skin was completely peeled.

My peeling started on day four and completed on day six.  What I noticed most in my skin was a reduction in the appearance of pore size on my cheeks and an overall smooth texture to my skin.

As a laser technician who has been trained in and worked with Sciton Laser Systems, I have to say that I am a huge fan.  If you're interested in learning more about Sciton be sure to check out Halo and BBL; two incredibly powerful treatments that offer consistent results for patients.

I can't complete this post without offering a huge thank you to Dr. Rostami, Amanda, and the entire team at Sanctuary Cosmetic Center in Tyson's Corner.  It is without question one of the most beautifully decorated and well thought out practices that I have had the honor of visiting.

The entire team was friendly and knowledgable and Amanda did an above and beyond job of following up with me after the treatment.
